Italy wanted to built 24.000 tons battleships according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1910-1911 no. 11


An item reported that the Italian cabinet asked for the current budget 2-24.000 ton battleships asked to be laid down in July and with a main armament of 12-34,5cm guns.(1)

1. The Conte di Cavour-class finally consisted of the Conte di Cavour, Guilio Cesare and the Leonardo da Vinci met a main armament of 13-12” guns.
