American battleship USS New Hampshire performed well during trials according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1907-1908 No. 11


An item referred to the Army and Navy Journal reporting that the new American battleship USS New Hampshire performed well during her preliminary trial starting at Rockland. During the 4 hours trial was her speed 18,14 miles. The standardisation trial and 24 hours trial were also successful. Contracted speed was 18 knots.(1)

1. The BB-25. Of the Connecticut-class pre-dreadnought battleships, laid down by the New York Shipbuilding Corporation on 1 May 1905, launched on 30 June 1906, commissioned on 19 March 1908 and finally sold to be broken up on 1 November 1923.
