Japanese naval commission visiting Germany and the Netherlands according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1893-1896 no. 6

An item reported that a Japanese commission consisting of the deputy minister of navy vice admiral Sukedi Kabayama, 3 captain lieutenants, a naval commissary and 2 lieutenants 1st class were sent from Tokyo, Japan towards Germany to examine the latest improvements in the navy topic. The commission intended to visit also the Netherlands, for instance the navy yard at Willemsoord.
