Dutch frigate 1st class Zr. Ms. Doggersbank bound for Port Mahon according to the Dutch newspaper Middelburgsche Courant dated Saturday 3 November 1855

An item reported that the Dutch frigate Zr. Ms. Doggersbank lying at Willemsoord, Netherlands would depart towards Port Mahon [Minorca, Baleares?] in the end of November. She would stay there during the winter to be repaired which became necessary after her last voyage towards the Mediterranean.(1)

1. Frigate 1st class, laid down at the navy yard of Amsterdam, Netherlands in 1831, launched on 24 November 1841, stricken in 1873, a displacement of 2.480 tons, dimensions 54 x 14 x 6,05 metres and with an armament of 60 (peace)-70 (war) guns.
