British auxiliary cruiser Alcantara arrived for victuals at Montevideo, Uruguay according to the Dutch newspaper Amigoe di Curacao dated 20 May 1941

An item reported that the British auxiliary cruiser Alcantara of the South Atlantic squadron arrived at Montevideo, Uruguay for victuals and fuel. Her appearance was quite changed due to the removal of her upper deck and she now carried 2 floating planes with her.(1)

1. Original a Royal Mail lines ocean liner launched down  by Harland&Wolff, Belfast, Ireland with yard number 586 in September 1926, completed on 18 February 1927, served between 1939 and 1943 as auxiliary cruiser and next as troopship between 1943 and 1948.
