British armed boarding vessel HMS Rosaura lost according to the Dutch newspaper Amigoe di Curacao dated 4 April 1941

An item referred to an official statement of the British Admiralty reporting the loss of the British auxiliary cruiser HMS Rosaura commanded by captain R. Spencer. The families of the crewmembers were informed.(1)

1. The armed boarding vessel HMS Rosaura which sunk after striking a mine off Tobruk, Libya on 18 March 1941. Originally built for account of the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway as the steam passenger ferry Dieppe served already during the First World War as a troopship and a hospital ship.
