British experts believed that German building submarines would disturbed political balance world wide according to the Dutch newspaper De Sumatra Post dated 1 May 1935

An item dated London, England 30th reported that British naval experts believed that despite the small dimensions of the 12 German submarines ordered to be built they had a range of 6.000 nautical miles which could even disturbed the political balance world wide.
