An item reported to the magazine Le Yacht dated 16 March 1935 reporting that the German navy intended to fit out the 4th and 5th battleships (1) of the Deutschland-class (2) with turbines and high pressure boilers. The diesels used for the thirst three ships caused too heavy vibrations. The horsepower of the 4th and 5th ship were to be increased causing a higher speed but probably an decreased range.
