An item reported that when minister Eyres Minsell (1) was asked what the value of modern battleships against air attacks he answered that a battleship was able to defence itself against anything including air attacks. Of course he could in public nothing saying about the air defence equipment but he assured that the money spent for battleships was worth any penny.
