King George V-class
An item referred to the statement of Lord Hailsham (1) in the British House of Lords claiming that battleships still were the backbone of the fleet. The press translated this as announcing building new battleships to replaced aged ones.(2)

2. The first British battleships to be built were the King George V-class, not earlier laid down as 1937.
