An item dated London, England 3rd reported that the French delegation at the Naval Conference agreed in a maximum displacement of 35.000 tons for battleships and also the fact that Italy did not sign the naval treaty.(1)
Note
1. Italy was then building the 45.000+ ton Littorio-class battleships while France built the Dunkerque fast battleships/battle cruisers class of standard 26.500 tons.
