French battleship Hoche fitted out with new boilers according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1897-1898 No. 7

An item referred to the magazine le Yacht reporting that after the common examination the French battleship Hoche was ordered to go towards Cherbourg, France where directly flaming cylindrical boilers were to be replaced by Belleville water tube boilers.(1)

1. Building ordered on 3 August 1880, laid down at Lorient, France on 1 June 1881, launched on 29 September 1886, completed in 1890, decommissioned in April 1908 and sunk while used as a target by the Jaureguiberry and Pothua on 2 December 1913. Modified Amiral Baudin-class.
