German battleship Bayern raised unexpectedly from the sea bottom according to the Dutch newspaper Limburger koerier dated 30 January 1937

An item reported that the former German battleship Bayern s(1) scuttled by her crew in 1918 at Scapa Flow [Orkney Islands 21 June 1919) unexpectedly raised from a depth of 40 metres the sea bottom to the surface. After a half hour she sunk again.

1. This can’t be the Bayern while she was already salvaged in 1934 and broken up.
