Greek destroyers Vasilefs Georgios and Vasillissa Olga built in United Kingdom according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1938 no. 5

An item referred to the magazine Schiffbau dated 1 May 1938 reporting that the first of the two 1.350 tons destroyers built for Greek account in England was launched and to be named Koning George I (1). The second one was to be named Koningin Olga.(2)

1. The Vasilefs Georgios, laid down at Yarrow&Company, Scotstoun, Scotland in 1937, launched on 3 March 1938, commissioned on 15 February 1939, scuttled at the Salamis Navy Yard in April 1941, salvaged by the German forces, commissioned as the Hermes (ZG3) on 21 March 1942 and again scuttled at La Galoutte, Tunisia on 7 May 1943.
2. The Vasillissa Olga (D15), laid down at Yarrow&Company, Scotstoun, Scotland on 1 February 1937, launched on 2 June 1938, commissioned on 4 February 1939 and sunk during a German air attack in the Gulf of Lakki on 26 September 1943.
