British sloops HMS Merlin and Odin launched at Sheerness, England according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1901-1902 no. 10

An item referred to the magazine le Yacht reporting that the British gunboats Merlin (1) and Odin (2) were launched at Sheerness, England. With a displacement of 1.096 tons and as dimensions 56,50 x 10,17 x 3,50 (aft) metres had these gunboats a 11 cm larger beam and a slightly increased displacement. Two triple expansion steam engines and Belleville boilers (Merlin) and Babcock&Wilcox boilers Odin) were to supply 1.400 ihp and a speed of 13,25 miles. The armament would consist of 6-10,2cm guns, 4-4,7cm guns and 3-7,7mm guns. The crew numbered 113 men.
