British protected cruiser 1st class HMS Terrible executing new trials after years of service according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1901-1902 no. 10

An item reported that the British 14.475 tons armoured cruiser Terrible with a horsepower of 25.000 ihp and 22 miles speed at the moment serving in China executed after some years service some full load trials. She achieved the same results as the official trial in the past. During 20 hours was with 16,2kilo/square cm and natural draft a horsepower of 15.129 hp developed  and with o,97 kilo/hour/ihp was her speed 18,5 miles. During the 4 hours full speed trial with forced draft was the developed horsepower 24.692 ihp and the speed 21 miles with 1.045kg/ihp. She was fitted out with Belleville boilers.(1)

1. Of the Powerful-class 1st class protected cruisers consisting of the Powerful and Terrible, preceded by the Edgar-class and succeeded by the Diadem-class, laid down at J.&G. Thomson, Clydebank, Scotland in 1894, launched on 27 May 1895, renamed as training school Fishgard III in August 1920 and sold in July 1932.
