French armoured cruisers stationed in Mexican waters according to the Dutch newspaper De West dated 15 March 1911

An item dated Paris, France 12th reported that the French cabinet ordered 3 of her armoured cruisers to stay in the Mexican waters until further orders were given.

1. Between 1920-1920 was Mexico harassed by the so-called Mexican Revolution started in 1910 with the presidential election causing Porfirio Diaz to resign on 25 May 1911. He had been president since 1 December 1884.
