An item referred to the magazine Le Yacht dated 9 February 1935 reporting that the Italian cruiser Fiume was used for landing experiments with a British autogiro. While the Fiume steamed with 24 miles landed the aircraft without problems on a landing platform with a length of 10 metres.(1)
