Reorganisation of the French navy according to the Dutch newspaper Bataviaasch nieuwsblad dated 31 January 1921

An item dated Paris, France 23rd reported that the most important result of the French naval reorganisation in 1921 the end of the squadron in the eastern part in the Mediterranean was. The Mediterranean squadron would number in the future 4 battleships, 3 battle cruisers, 2 divisions of 6 destroyers, one division of 8 former German destroyers and one reserve division of 3 battleships, 1 battle cruiser and 4 destroyers. The Atlantic division would consist of 2 cruisers and the West African division of 1 cruiser and 2 gunboats. The Far East division would be partly stationed in respectively the Pacific and the Indian ocean.
