An item
reported the arrival at Amsterdam, Netherlands at 19.00 o’clock the day before
of the American oil tanker Australia (11.628, 54 gross register tonnage coming
from Port Arthur [nowadays Lüshunkou District, China]. Dimensions 530 (over all) x 70.3 feet and a
draught of nearly 10 metres/ She berthed alongside the quay of the Texaco
Company at the Petroleumhaven. She was there to unload 5.000 ton oil and would
presumably departed on the 13th towards London England.
