British 4th rate HMS Blackwall, building ordered on 12 September 1695, launched by Henry Johnson, Blackwall Yard on 6 July 1696, captured by the French Protée when returning from the Baltic, commissioned in the French navy as Blekoualle, recaptured on 15 March 1708, however not decommissioned recaptured again by France and renamed Blakoual renaming in service until 1719. Measured 678 tons burthen and dimensions 131‘1.5”(gundeck0 x 34’2.5”x 13’7.5”.
