British Royal Navy interested in fitting out a battleship with diesels according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1910-1911 no. 11

An item referred to the magazine Le Yacht reporting that according to certain rumours the British Royal navy intended to fit out one of the capital ships to be built under the next naval program with diesel engines. These engines were nearly completed and should allow a speed of 21 miles. One of the main profits was that the complete machinery could be accommodate below the waterline. Price around 225 French franc for each hp.
