Building of British torpedo gunboats HMS Harrier and Hussar planned according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad no. 3 dated 1892-1893

An item referred to the magazine Engineering reporting that the British torpedo gunboats HMS Harrier (1) and Hussar (2) were to be built at the Navy Dockyard at Devonport, England as the last of the 72 warships built under the Naval Defence Act [of 1899].

1. Dryad-class. Laid down at the Devonport Dockyard on 21 January 1893m launched on 20 February 1894, commissioned on 28 July 1896 and sold on 23 February 1920 to become a merchant ship.
2. Dryad-class. Laid down at the Devonport Dockyard on 3 April 1893, launched on 3 July 1894m commissioned on 3 December 1896, sold to be broken up in December 1920 and sold again on 13 July 1921 to L. Gatt, Malta.
