Italian navy reorganized coastal defence according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1923

An item referred to the magazine Schiffbau reportinged that the defence of the Italian coastline was divided into 4 separate commands each with a vice admiral as chief commanding officer. The commands were the Tyrrhenian Sea with as naval base La Spezia, Ionian Sea  with as, naval base Naples, Lower Adriatic Sea with as naval base Taranto and upper Adriatic Sea with as naval base Venice.
