Dutch warships serving in the Dutch East Indies painted dull light grey in 1914

The commanding officer of the naval forces and the navy department in the Dutch East Indies ordered on 11 August No. 7839 that the hull and superstructure of all ships part of the Dutch squadron and further more the destroyers, torpedo boats and minelayers all were to be painted in the accepted war colours dull light grey.
