Danish merchant ships lying at New York, USA allowed to depart according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsch nieuwsblad dated 3 June 1940

An item reported that the Danish merchant ships laid up at New York, USA since Denmark was captured by Germany were after long during negotiations between the countries in war allowed to depart. The ships were loaded since 9 April destined towards South and Mid America. The permission was just given for this single voyage.
