American submarine cruiser USS V-2 launched according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1925 no. 3

An item referred to the Army and Naval Journal dated 3 January 1925 reporting that the American submarine cruiser V-2 was launched on 27 December 1924. Her maximal length was 104,1 metres and the displacement 2.164 tons. Speed 21 (surfaced)-9 (submerged) miles. Machinery consisted of 4 oil-fuelled engines with a total horsepower of 6.500 hp. Crew numbered 80 men. The armament consisted of 6-53,3cm torpedo tubes and 1-12,5cm L/51 gun.(1)

1. The SF-5 renamed Bass (SS-163) in 1931, laid down at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, USA on 20 October 1921, commissioned on 26 September 1925, decommissioned on 3 March 1925 and broken up in the same year.
