British spies arrested at Hamburg, Germany according to the Dutch newspaper De Sumatra Post dated 22 March 1911

An item reported that at Hamburg, Germany one Englishman and four Germans were arrested as being suspected of sending information to England dealing with the German battleships now under construction.(1)

1. In 1911 were under construction the Helgoland-class consisting of the Helgoland (laid down 1908), Ostfriesland (1908), Thüringen (1908) and Oldenburg (1909), commissioned between 1911-1912 and the Kaiser-class consisting of Kaiser (1909) Friedrich der Grosse (1910), Kaiserin (1910), Prinzregent Luitpold (1910) and König Albert (1910) and commissioned between 1912-1913. Of the König-class were the König, Grosser Kurfürst and Markgraf laid down in 1911 followed by the Kronprinz in 1912. Of the first two classed was the Friedrich der Grosse in January 1910 laid down by AG Vulcan, Hamburg, Germany and launched on 10 June 1911.
