Mutiny on board of French cruiser Dupleix according to the Dutch newspaper Het nieuws van den dag voor Nederlandsch-Indië dated 2 January 1914

An item reported that at Paris, France tidings were received that on board of the French cruiser Dupliex off Saigon, French Indochina mutiny broken out. Her crew complained heavily about the worse food and refused to leave next morning their ship cages.(1)

1. Dupleix and not Duplieux, of the Dupleix-class armoured cruisers consisting of Dupleix, Desaix and Kléber, preceded by Gueydon-class and succeeded by Gloire-class. Laid down by Arsenal de Rochefort, France in February 1898?, launched on 28 April 1900, completed on 15 September 1903 and decommissioned on 27 September 1919.
