British cruiser HMS Cumberland and sloop Falmouth visited Dutch East Indies in 1937

An item reported that the British heavy cruisers HMS Cumberland (1) and sloop Falmouth (2) visited Belawan Deli between 18-24 February 1937.

Notes
1. County-class heavy cruiser, laid down by Vickers-Armstrong, barrow-in-Furness, England on 18 October 1924, launched on 16 March 1926, commissioned on 23 February 1928 and finally sold to be broken up in 1959.
2. Shoreham-class sloop, building ordered under 1930 Programme in 1931, laid down by HM Devonport Dockyard, England on 31 August 1931, launched on 19 April 1932, renamed Calliope in January 1952, converted into a drill ship for the Tyne Division and sold to BISCO to be broken up by Hughes Blocow, Blyth in 1968.
