Laid down at the Rijkswerf Willemsoord for account of the Royal Netherlands Navy with yard number 84 on 22 August 1967, launched on 6 January 1968 and commissioned as Wielingen (A873) on 31 May 1968. In naval service displacement 206 tons, gross tonnage 119 tons and as dimensions 27,18 (over all) x 6,97 (maximum) x 2,34 (medium) metres. Fitted out with 720hp Bolnes diesel allowing a speed of 12 knots. Crew numbered 9 men.
