Portuguese sloop 2nd class Gonçalves Zarco visited Surabaya, Dutch East Indies in 1935

An item reported that the Portuguese sloop Gonzalves Zarco visited the Dutch East Indies harbour Surabaya between 15-18 February 1935.

1. Sloop/aviso 2nd class Gonçalves Zarco, laid down by Hawthorn-Leslie, Tyne, England in October 1931, launched on 28 November 1932, completed in September 1933 and stricken in 1969. Sister ship Gonçalves Velho. Built for service in the Portuguese colonies using a modified British sloop Bridgewater design.
