US Navy needed more auxiliary cruisers and new warships according to the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf dated 21 February 1933

An item dated New York, USA 21st  reported that the supreme commanding officer of the US Navy after the latest manoeuvres in the Pacific stated that the US Navy needed especially auxiliary cruisers en new warships especially to replace destroyers and submarines. The Japanese navy numbered more sips than the US Navy except for the battleships which numbers were equal.
