Dutch screw steamship 1st clas Zr. Ms. Tromp 1875-1904

Call sign GQWN, laid down at the navy yard at Amsterdam, Netherlands on 23 August 1875, launched on 12 December 1877, commissioned on 30 May 1879, decommissioned on 5 June 1902, stricken in 1904 and sold to be broken up on 19 August 1904. Iron-built and wood-planked. Sail area 1.709 square metres. Machinery built by the Nederlandsche Stoomboot Maatschappij, Rotterdam, Netherlands. Displacement 3.566 ton and as dimensions 80,00 (between perpendiculars)-91,85 (over all) x 12,50 x 6,53 metres. One direct driven expansion steam engine delivering 2.329 ihp via one screw allowing under steam a speed of 13,7 knots. Her crew numbered 300 men. The original armament consisted of 6-16cm A no. 1 guns, 8-12cm K.A. no. 1 guns, 6-3,7cm revolver guns (later increased with 8-3,7cm guns and spar torpedoes (later removed). The 17cm guns were removed in 1901 to be used for a battery at Sabang, Dutch East Indies.
