Dutch screw steamship 4th class Zr. Ms. Madura recommissioned again according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1887-1888 no. 6

An item dated Surabaya, Dutch East Indies 29 June 1887 reported that the engine of the Dutch Zr. Ms. Madura was completely repaired. She departed already to the Kleine Soenda Eilanden, Dutch East Indies.(1)

On stocks 13 June 1879 at the Koninklijke Fabriek van stoom- en andere werktuigen, Amsterdam, Netherlands, launched on 21 March 1880, departed the shipyard on 29 June 1880, commissioned on 1 July 1880, departed towards Batabia, Dutch East Indies on 22 August 1880. Decommissioned and condemned for war duties on 12 February 1900 and to be used as pilot station ship (Moeara Djawa). Displacement 850 tons and as dimensions 45,00 (between perpendiculars)-53,50 (over all) x 8,85 (outside thrushes)-9,00 (maximum outside wooden hull) x 4,58 (hold amidships) x 3,05 (normal fore)-3,25 (original class standard amidships)-3,45 (original class standard 3,356(original class standard aft) metres. On the trials was with half speed (draught 3,45 (aft)-3,19 (amidships)-2,93 (fore) metres, 107rmp a horsepower of 306,25 ihp and coal consumption of 0,84 kilo/ihp/hour a speed achieved of 8,25 miles ad full speed and a draught of 3,45 (aft)-3,19 (amidships)-2,93 (fore) metres with 504 ihp and 128 rpm 9,38 miles.  Standard crew 76 Europeans and 28 natives. Armament consisted of 1-15cmA gun and 3-12cm guns, later were 1-7,7cm A gun and 2-3,7cm guns added. Iron built with wooden hull and zinced. Armament 4 guns (1885: 1-15cm, 3-12cm) and a crew numbering 100 men (76 Europeans, 24 natives).
