French cruiser light cruiser Duguay Trouin visited the Dutch East Indies in 1931


An item reported that the French cruiser Duguay Trouin visited the Dutch East Indies harbours Tandjong Priok 6-8 October 1931, Surabaya 9-12 October 1931 and Bali 12 October 1931.(1)

1. Of the Duguay-Trouin-class,consisting of the Duguay-Trouin, Lamotte=Piquet and Primauget, preceded by the planned but not realized La Motte-Piquet-class and succeeded by the Jeanne d’Arc. Laid down by Arsenal de Brest, France on 4 August 1922, launched on 14 August 1923, commissioned on 2 November 1928,de commissioned on 19 March 1952
