An item reported that the same morning the German 5 mast motor schooner Christel Vinnen underway from the Clyde, Scotland towards Danzig, Poland was stranded off Zeebrugge, Belgium. She damaged and making water through the leaks. The tugs Goliath and Hermes were nearby to support if needed.
