An item referred to the U.S.R. dated 11 August 1938 reporting that the British Admiralty was corrected by the Committee of Public Accounts for exceeding budgets. Instead of 150.000 pound sterling was finally 612,056 pound sterling expended for buying the Majestic. As the HMS Caledonia (1) was used as training ship for young sailors. Converting a steam trawler into a tender for the M.T.B. flotilla was estimated to be 27.000 pound sterling, actually 50.697 pound sterling .
