British screw steam gunboat HMS Rattler underway from the Dutch East Indies towards the Cocos Islands according to the Dutch newspaper Java-Bode dated 31 July 1889

An item dated 29th reported the passing of Nieuw Anjer, Dutch East Indies by the H.B. steamship Rattler underway from Batavia, Dutch East Indies towards the Cocos Islands.(1)
