Swedish coastal defence ship Oscar II to be modernized according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1939 no. 10

An item reported that the Swedish cruiser Oscar II was to be modernized which was to be completed in autumn 1939 and could she be used as training ship for midshipmen. To her armament were 4-7,5cm/2.95” and 2-2,5cm/1” guns to be added. Her machinery was to be converted into oil fuelling.(1)
