An item reported that in England 3 gunboats built for Brazilian account were launched and nearly completed. Displacement 1.200 tons. Speed 11,5 miles. With a shallow draught suitable for serving on the Brazilian rivers. Armament would consist of 2-15,2cm guns, 2-12cm guns and 4-4,7cm guns.(1)
