An item referred to the magazine le Yacht reporting that the French submarine Opale achieved during her surfaced trials a sped of 11,3 miles. With her bunker capacity could she stay for 8 days on sea. However her seaworthy capacities were somewhat doubtful. With success was a distance of 520 miles travelled.(1)
