German steam buoying vessel Bussard 1905-

Germany-flagged, MMSI 211164080 and call sign DG2521. Built by Meyer Werft, Papenburg, Germany in 1905-1906. Originally stationed at Sonderburg and since 1919 at Kiel responsible for the area between Flensburg Fjord and Lübeck and finally decommissioned in 1979. Gross tonnage 246 ton and as dimensions 40,6 x 8,1 x 3,3 metres. Machinery consists of a 540hp triple expansion steam engine and a 12bar fire-tube boiler allowing a speed of 12 knots.
