An item referred to the magazine Schiffbau reported that on short notice after two tears of discussing new locks were to be realized at Portsmouth, England. With the dimensions of 850 x 121 feet was it possible even for the dreadnought to enter or leave despite being low or high tide. Until now was the harbour just by high tide accessible for the King Edward-class.(1)
