An item referred to the magazine Le Yacht dated 20 June reporting that when the naval budget was discussed admiral Haus supplied some details about the new Austrian 24.500 ton battleships. The main armament of 10-35.6cm L/45 guns was placed similar to the USS Oklahoma (2x3+2x2). The secondary armament consisted of 10-15cm guns and some 7,6cm guns. The magazine Monitor de la Flotte dated 4 July reported that the main armament consisted instead of 35,6cm guns of the new type 35,0cm guns able to fire a shell with a weight of 707 kilo (included around 213 kilo explosives) with a muzzle energy of 23.353 metric tons. A third item also reports 10-35,0cm guns (2x3+2x2). Fore and aft were twin and triple turrets part of one group with the twin turret firing over the triple turret. It was unknown if the ships were fitted out with torpedo tubes and if so the number.(1)
