Newly built American destroyers were armed with excellent 12,7cm/4” guns according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1935 no. 4

An item referred to the magazine N.M.R. dated 18 April 1935 reported that the newest American destroyers were to be armed with 4-12,7cm/4” guns with a length of 4,5 metres, excellent performance and a range of 12 miles.
