Dutch steam trawler Oceaan II collided on the North Sea with Russian schooner Julia according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 31 October 1902

An item dated Ijmuiden, Netherlands 31th October reported that the Dutch steam trawler Oceaan II collided on the North Sea with the Russian schooner Julia loaded with timber bound for Paimpol, France. The Russian crew left her ship and went on board of the Oceaan II although later returning on their heavily damaged ship. The Oceaan II arrived at Ijmuiden with a damaged bow and went towards Amsterdam, Netherlands for repairs.
