France stationing torpedo boats at Saigon and Madagascar according to the magazine Mitteilungen aus dem Gebiete des Seewesens dated 1905 no. 2

An item reported that the French torpedo boats sent to Saigon were renamed, the No. 245 became 10S, the No. 246 11S, the No. 247 12S, No. 248 13S, the No. 249 14S and the No. 254 15S. The torpedo boats destined towards Madagascar and which had a prefix of a ‘M’ were also renamed, the No. 61 became 1 M, the No. 262 2 M, the No. 271 3 M, the No. 272 4 M, the No 287 5 M and the No. 290 6 M.
