An item reported that the Dutch ocean going tug Java executed with success her trials, She was built by the N.V. Scheepswerf en Gashouderbouw v/h Jonker&Stands, Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht for account of B.P. Koomans van den Dries, Rotterdam, Netherlands. Gross register tonnage 51,53 tons and as dimensions 27,80 x 6,50 x 3,10 metres. Fitted out with 1-450/500ihp triple expansion steam engine and a boiler manufactured by the N.V. Machinefabriek Bolnes, Bolnes, Netherlands.
