French steam trawler Ker sei sold to the Netherlands and renamed Ijszee (IJM167) according to the Dutch magazine Schip en Werf dated 17 January 1930

An item reported that the French steam trawler Ker sei was sold by the fa. Gohinet, Lorient, France to J. Frater Smid&G. Prins, Ijmuiden, Netherlands and renamed Ijszee [IJM 167] under the Dutch flag. Gross register tonnage 242 tons. Built at the Reichswerft, Kiel, Germany in 1920.(1)

1.Built as German Minister Hermes of the German government, renamed Fro in 1921, since 1926 as the Ker-Sei L 2612 proerty og the Compalgnie Lorientaise de Cherbourg, France, renamed Witte Zee (IJM 167) in 1934, hired by the Royal Netherlands Navy and converted into Boeienschip [buoy layer 1] in 1939, returned in 1939, captured by the German in 1940 and sunk during a attack by British MTB’s on 14 July 1944.
